I believe that if you have the ability to start your own craft business you also have the ability to set up and run your own successful blog and/or website, content management system or online store. Through the blog here I’ll be adding plenty of articles to help.

However, I understand that although you could do it, you may not want to. Perhaps you don’t have the time or maybe you would prefer a fast, professional installation that you could manage from then on. Perhaps a bit of one-to-one tuition would help you get comfortable with the whole thing.

For that reason I offer the following services.

This is not about me building a site for you. I can do that if you want, but if you can do this yourself – with a helping hand at the start – why give control of such an important aspect of your business to someone else?

If you don’t have a business website yet:

If you don’t have a website I will install the wordpress CMS for you with a theme of your choice and my approved plug-ins. We’ll talk first, make decisions about the pages you need, whether you want a premium theme or a free one, etc.

The idea is that I will provide you with a fully operational framework, all you need to do is add the words and pictures.

This does not include your domain name or hosting. Some website designers will add a “handling fee” to this but you are going to be in charge of it yourself so you should only pay around $10.00 for a domain name (once a year) and $8.00 a month or less for your hosting. If you choose a premium theme you will need to pay for that, but that’s a one-time-only thing. I will help you set it all up, of course.

If you like, we can leave it there. You’ll have all you need to get started.

Alternatively I can do the installation and then we can continue to work together to build your business website – for as long as you feel is necessary. We can consult on page content and on writing blog posts until you are absolutely confident of what you are doing. Consultation is just $47.00 a week.

Added together that’s your initial consultation, complete installation and up to a month’s one-to-one support and tuition for well under $350.00.

Compare that with what you’ll pay a webmaster to build a site for you – and then what are they going to charge you each time you want to change something?

Already have a site:

If you already have a website and want to add a WordPress blog, but you’re not getting the help you need from your current host or webmaster then you’ll need to give me some details so I can have a look and see what’s needed. Please use the contact form to get in touch.

A basic WordPress blog installation with approved plug-ins will be $137.00 but may be a little more depending on your existing hosting and set-up. Additional support and tuition are charged as above.
